My husband and I just enjoyed delightful two days in San Angelo, Texas, courtesy of the San Angelo Art Museum. Our genial host and tour guide was Howard Taylor, Director of the Museum.

I was there to discuss a possible museum collaboration project but had no idea how much art and energy were to be found in San Angelo. We had stayed here in our Airstream just overnight but had not come into town.

Chicken Farm Art Center

We were excited to get to go to the Chicken Farm Art Center, as we had heard great things about it from a friend. It has artist studios, a restaurant, artist homes, a bed and breakfast, and a funkiness that we loved.

Leddy's Boots

 Downtown San Angelo was thriving, with lots of shops, restaurants, and historic buildings.

We learned that San Angelo is known for its sheep, horses, and cotton. All over town were entertaining sheep sculptures, such as this one for Leddy's Boots.

We'll definitely be going back to San Angelo!
