Monday after the Market: Part Two

A yarn painting by Cilau Valadez

On the final Monday of our Folk Art Extravaganza, Cilau Valadez and his father Mariano Valadez, came to speak to our group. He was very articulate about the need to advocate for his Huichol people and the environment in which they live in Mexico. Cilau is traveling and exhibiting around the world, sharing his art, culture, and message.
