MAEA Conference Photo Gallery

I'm just back from the Michigan Art Education Association Conference in Lansing, Michigan. These guys really know how to throw a party. Here you see NAEA President Dennis Inhulsen; September Buys, NAEA Middle School Director Elect; me; and Kim Cairy, NAEA Middle School Director at the Alice in Wonderland themed party.

Over 500 teachers were in attendance.

Janine Campbell was a well-deserved award winner at the Awards Dinner.

As was Cindy Todd. Their awards were created by an artist and were fantastic clay works that also fit the theme.

It was great to see so many friends.

I wanted to bid on one of these but they wouldn't fit in my luggage.

Craig Hinshaw has written many wonderful articles for SchoolArts.

I've taught many of Craig's lessons to my students.

Craig has two self-published books on clay with children that I heartily recommend.

He brought examples of some of his projects.

And a small self-portrait.
